Seoul is known for its
unique aspects. It is that the capital
of Korea has two sides of a coin: the
head is the mordern and the tail the old.
Elegant line of tile roofs of traditional
houses and palaces gives us pride of being
a people with a great cultural legacy. |
Now I will take you 5
palaces in Seoul. The most famous old
house for the royalty is Kyongbokkung Palace nearby
KwangHwa Mun. The best way to go the
palace is to take on the third subway
line and to take off at the Kyongbokkung Palacestation. |

|
By the way, two bus stops away from
Kyongbokkung Palace, you can easily find another palace, Ch'angdokkung Palace & Piwon (Secret Garden). To get on a bus would make
you confused, then take a walk. It only talks 10 minutes.
Just come along the Ch'angdokkung
Palace & Piwon (Secret Garden)'s
walls-you could find out where it is with easy. |
Stop! You must know that Ch'angdokkung Palace & Piwon (Secret Garden) opens and closes with its seasonal schedule, so before
going there when it becomes dark, first check out its opening
and closing time to any information center around you. About a decade
ago, Ch'angdokkung Palace & Piwon(Secret Garden) had another
name of Ch'anggyonggung Park which was known as a park and playing
ground.
Now on every weekend, it attracts
people who want to have a good time outdoors. Ch'anggyonggung Palace is linked with Chongmyo
Royal Shrine. At the back
of Ch'anggyonggung Palace, you can pass through a door
toward Chongmyo Royal Shrine.

The last place.Toksugung
Palace. It is around the city
hall. Quite convinient for you to use subway or
bus. But you are on JongRo or KwangHwa Mun, have
a stroll for about less than twenty minutes. |
Wow, I might have been lounging
on the center of Seoul for a long time. No, it is not a good
idea! So we would better turn our direction to museums
scattering around the country. One thing you should not miss.
Let's enjoy each region's mood and distinctiveness on our way to
museums.
